2020 marks Alpha Real Estate Group’s 25th anniversary. Looking back, it’s hard to believe that our property management company truly started, not when it was founded in 1995, but with a teenaged Richard Rowe taking a part-time job with the groundskeeping staffing at a housing authority in Burlington, Iowa.
While attending college, Richard realized that he had a passion for all aspects of real estate, particularly property management, and committed to it as a long-term career. “I had plans to pursue a career in law enforcement, but I realized I really enjoyed everything about real estate. I liked the financial aspects, leasing to tenants, working with maintenance crews. I liked all of it,” Richard said.
So he worked tirelessly to gain vital experience in property management, maintenance and construction, and more by managing low-income housing communities and apartment and housing complexes throughout the Midwest and Texas, earning his real estate license, and learning the complexities of condominium and subdivision association management.
Alpha Real Estate Group officially opened in 1995. 25 years later, Richard and the Alpha Real Estate team currently manage over 1,400 residential properties and 13 condominium and subdivision associations. Tyler, Richard’s son, joined the company in 2010 as a Property Services Manager, and is now Vice President. “Tyler sees the black-and-white of the issues. He’s a great problem-solver,” Richard explained.
Richard is “proud that [his company] is in the position to treat clients fairly and that we provide the best possible service. I’ve lost money because I needed to do right by my clients. It’s very important that we do what’s best for them,” he said.
The outlook for the next 25 years of Alpha Real Estate Group looks largely the same as the first: bettering his community by providing a personalized and beneficial service in residential and commercial property management and real estate, helping clients find quality homes and business spaces in the St. Charles area, and provide excellent jobs for fellow Missourians. “It’s also great that I can employ a wide variety of people and help them feed their families, especially during such complicated economic times,” he said.
In these unprecedented times, your home has become an office, a classroom, a gym and a restaurant—the beating heart of your lives. We are more determined than ever to help you safely find homes and maintain and even better their properties.
